Duck Hunter 3D

Duck Hunter 3D was a joint project between myself and Ben Rozitis for the DarkBASIC Retro Competition held in March/April 2003. The initial FPS code was supplied by me, as was most of the graphics and modelling, with Ben adding the game modes and HUD details.

Duck Hunt!

Controls:

Arrowkeys - Walk around

Mouse - Aim

Mouse click - Fire

The main aim of the game is 'shoot everything in sight', but there are some variations on the rules for each game type:

  • Duck Hunt - A number of ducks fly out of the tree, and you have to gun them down within the time limit. Watch out, some of the ducks are homing pigeons in disguise, after a while they will begin chasing you out of nowhere. If they catch you it's game over!
  • 100 Duck Melee - Blast down all 100 ducks in the quickest time you can
  • Duck Marathon - The hardest game mode, you have to outrun and survive the onslaught of homing pigeons
  • Clay Pigeon Shooting - Orange clays are fired from the launcher, you must shoot them down to complete a set. At least 5 of the 10 sets must be completed per round to advance to the next round. With each new round, there are more clays to shoot down per set! Try and get bonus points for accuracy
  • Ming Vase Mania - Smash as many vases as you can in a minute with your trusty AK-47
